Internet in Europe is not as reliable as I hoped, and exploring new territory often leaves little to no computer time. I promise posts soon filled with where I’ve been for the past 2 weeks – it has certainly been a whirlwind I am already missing.
As my parents celebrate their 40th anniversary today, love is on my mind. It is such a rarity for couples to be together so long, and I greatly admire my parents’ fortitude. I know it hasn’t always been easy, but the love has always been there. Love isn’t solely chirping birds and bouquets of flowers; love is real and love can be hard, but damn is it beautiful.
I feel fortunate to have witnessed my entire life what true, unconditional love is and to have inherited that sense of love from the most beautiful couple I will ever know – my parents.
I am beginning to grasp with my travels the immense size of the world and how it looks both in sunshine and in darkness. Whether you are single, married, or don’t believe in marriage, make sure you believe in love; without it, the world is always dark. So, today I celebrate not only the love between my parents, but the love all around me. And I think you should too.
