Settling into a new place and making it a home is one of my favorite things.

After being a nomad for over a year, the time has come for me to put down my roots for a bit.  However, I haven’t jumped back into nesting mode as quickly as I’d hoped; I am struggling to create that perfect zen layout I’ve dreamt about for months.

One of the spaces I’m grappling with the most is my office. My ability to work effectively and creatively is affected far more by my work space than I would like to admit. Sounds, colors, smells, lights – do you (like me) sometimes feel that you are striving to bring to fruition a space that could never truly exist?

But then I remembered my time in London, and my visit to THE ultimate work space – Google.

Google Office London

I see you.

Google Green

The thinking chair.

How does one NOT feel inspired to do incredible things in spaces like this?

Though I don’t have the views, the food, or the rad coworkers that Google’s London office does, I do have the freedom and the help of inspirational people, such as those over at, to design my perfect creative space.

What are some of your favorite places to find office and home decor inspiration?
